In May 2017, IMYA organized a retreat to the Vancouver Aquarium, where all members had the opportunity to explore, learn, and have a sleepover at the Aquarium.

A fun event that included activities like Chinese instruments, Chinese lantern making (arts and crafts), red packets, performances.

A team of 11 IMYA volunteers attended a fashion event which fundraised for the development of a new wing at the Lions Gate Hospital.

The “Fall For Love” fundraising gala took place in October of 2018 included diverse performances and entertainment.

This event gathered those from all over Greater Vancouver to come together and form a communal bond through culture.

IMYA partnered with the Read, Speak, and Lead to organize a public speaking tutoring program for kids living in China, traveling to Fujian, China.

A large variety of multicultural performances were selected and played at the gala, which was live streamed internationally

Partnering with the Royal Commenwealth Socity, IMYA organized a public speaking & writing competition.

In July of 2021, IMYA partnered with RCSBC to co-organize a French public speaking competition, having competitors from across Canada.

As COVID was still hitting Canada hard, the gala took place online for the first time, consists of a large variety of performances.

IMYA partnered with the Royal Commonwealth Society of BC to co-organize the “Commonwealth, Common Health” public speaking competition.

This event gathered those from all over Greater Vancouver to come together and form a communal bond through culture.
